Art, Bunnies, and Clocks

Can you believe it's only Wednesday and I'm already blogging! I'm that excited about what we've been up to.

Next week is Open House and the Art Fair. I decided to have the students make some abstract faces. I have to say they turned out SO AMAZING!! Each class gets to submit 3 pieces of art. So we took a vote. It was hard for them because they all looked so good!

These are the three that were chosen.

These are some of the other pieces from the class.

We also created some adorable Fact Family Bunnies. I found this freebie on Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits.

Yesterday we started our time unit. I was so surprised on how well they did today. We created these clocks to help them. It will be a freebie soon in my TPT Store!

I knew today was going to be great. This is what I saw as I got to work.

I feel very productive and it's only Wednesday. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

SoCal Blogger Meet Up...

This week was all about getting ready to attend the SoCal Blogger Meet Up.  Kristen of Easy Teaching Tools and Courtney of Ramona Recommends, hosted the SoCal Blogger Meet Up.  My co-worker Jamie, of Laugh Love Teach Learn, decided to attend the SoCal Meet up.  I'm so excited we went.  It was amazing to meet such amazing teachers and bloggers.  Kristen and Courtney were amazing hosts.  They had the cutest cookies and some adorable name tags made for each one of us.

Oh, did I mention it was in Newport Beach! Yes, Newport Beach at Fashion Island.  I just love Newport so this was the icing on the cake.  Although it was a short trip, Jamie and I managed to do some shopping.  If you've ever in Newport Beach or by Fashion Island, Roger's Gardens is a must stop.  Their arrangements and flowers are just amazing.  I'm in love every time I go there.  I found a beautiful orchid that I just LOVE!

Top to Bottom: The AMAZING Teacher Bloggers.  The cutest cookie.  Jamie and I.  Fashion Island (it was such a beautiful day).

I was so excited to wear my name tag.

How cute are these?! Easy Teaching Tools and Ramona Recommends did such an amazing job hosting.

How beautiful is this display! This was taken at Roger's Gardens.

The beautiful orchids at Roger's Gardens. I just love this place!

This was the beauty that I brought home.  IN LOVE :)

A Seuss-tastic Week

On Monday we celebrated Read Across America.   As you know this is when we recognizer Dr. Seuss' birthday.  It was so much fun.

You can't celebrate a birthday without some cupcakes and birthday hats, so we made sure we had both!

You have to love Target! I found the Dr. Seuss pencils and bookmarks there in the dollar section.

We had a special visitor this week.  Coach Randall from Washington Union High School came to read to our class.  Since it was Read Across America Week, it was only fitting that he read a book by Dr. Seuss.  He read The Cat and the Hat.  It was so cute and the students' loved being read to by someone other than me. I have to admit, it was nice to sit for 10 minutes and just relax while someone else was in charge.

Finally, we finished our class book for Young Authors' Fair.  Our book title is, We Took a Trip to Outer Space.  It is a rhyming book (or I should say it was supposed to be a rhyming book lol).  They did a good job and it really is cute.  I have some talented artists in my class.

Stay tuned to hear about our upcoming week...
